Conference: Art and Devotion in the Processional Group “Descent from the Cross, Lord of My Hope”
The Brotherhood Señor de mi Esperanza held a conference on 26 February 2026, at 8:00 p.m., in the parish of San José Obrero, dedicated to one of its most significant processional groups.
Under the title Art and Devotion in the Processional Group: “Descent from the Cross, Lord of My Hope”, the session explored the history, symbolism, and artistic and devotional value of the ensemble, as well as its development within the Burgos Holy Week tradition.
The lecture was delivered by the historian Raúl Hernández García, who examined the cultural and religious significance of the work and its role in shaping the identity of the brotherhood.
