Exhibition marking the 300th anniversary of the Virgen de la Alegría opens
The Monasterio de San Juan is now hosting the exhibition commemorating the 300th anniversary of the Virgen de la Alegría, offering visitors the opportunity to explore the history and devotion surrounding this image over the centuries.
The exhibition brings together a carefully curated selection of materials, including photographs, liturgical items, books and other significant elements that illustrate the evolution of this devotion and its deep roots in local tradition and community life. Through this display, visitors can appreciate both the artistic value of the pieces and their symbolic and cultural significance.
This initiative forms part of the programme of events organised to mark the anniversary, helping to highlight and preserve the heritage associated with the Virgen de la Alegría while making it accessible to a wider audience.
The exhibition will remain open to the public until 12 April at the Monasterio de San Juan.
