Processional music fills the centre of Burgos with the concert “Al compás de la Cuaresma”
Processional music once again took centre stage in Burgos during Lent with the celebration of the concert “Al compás de la Cuaresma”, which brought together numerous attendees in the city centre and at the parish of San Gil.
The event began with a parade through the centre of Burgos, serving as a prelude to the concert held afterwards at San Gil church. The concert featured the Agrupación Musical Santísimo Sacramento y Jesús con la Cruz a Cuestas from Burgos, the Agrupación Musical Las Caídas de Jesús from Soria, and the Banda de Cornetas y Tambores of the Real Hermandad de la Sangre de Cristo y Nuestra Señora de los Dolores, together with the tamborcitos.
During the concert, a raffle was also held among attendees, and the artist Marcos Atípico painted a picture live while the music was being performed, adding an artistic dimension to an event that continues to strengthen its place within the Lenten programme of Burgos Holy Week.
