The Main Theatre hosts the Processional Music Concert

On March 22, the Main Theatre of Burgos hosted the Processional Music Concert, an event that brought together several bands and musical groups from the city around the sound of Holy Week music.

T

he concert, held at 6:00 p.m., offered the audience a varied repertoire that highlighted the richness and distinctive character of this musical heritage, in an atmosphere marked by solemnity and the proximity of the most important days of Holy Week.

Earlier, at 5:30 p.m., the participating groups took part in a parade from Plaza del Rey San Fernando, next to the Cathedral, to the Main Theatre, filling the city centre with music and creating a lively prelude to the event.

The concert featured performances by Tamborcitos, the band of the Coronación de Espinas y Cristo Rey brotherhood, Círculo Musical Burgos and its children’s group, the Santísimo Sacramento y Jesús con la Cruz a Cuestas musical group, the Soledad y Santiago brotherhood band, the Jesús Crucificado y Santísimo Sacramento group, and the Sangre del Cristo de Burgos brotherhood band.

This concert once again highlighted the importance of processional music as a key element of Burgos Holy Week, serving as a prelude to the celebrations that will soon fill the city’s streets.
