Procession of Silence

Route:

San Cosme Street, Vega Square, Santa María Bridge, Santa María Arch, Plaza del Rey San Fernando, Nuño Rasura Street, Santa Águeda Street, Santa María Square—where a brief act will be held in remembrance of all the deceased of Holy Week in Burgos—then along Santa Águeda Street, Nuño Rasura Street, Plaza del Rey San Fernando, Santa María Arch, Santa María Bridge, Vega Square, San Cosme Street, concluding at the Parish Church of Saints Cosme and Damian.

Processional Floats

Christ of Health (16th century, Castilian school), carried on the shoulders.

Departure:

At 11:00 p.m., the procession will begin from the Parish Church.

Opening act:

At 10:30 p.m., the Oath of Silence will take place at the Parish of Saints Cosmas and Damian.

  • Organized by Illustrious Archconfraternity of the Most Holy Sacrament and of Jesus Bearing the Cross.
  • Participants Members of the City’s penitential brotherhoods and confraternities, all wearing the Franciscan habit in homage to the original brotherhood of Holy Week in Burgos, founded in the now-vanished Convent of Saint Francis, located on the street of the same name.
