Procession of the Easter Proclamation

Route:

ARRIVAL ROUTE – CHRIST RISEN:
Departure of the Brotherhood of Christ Risen from the Church of the Holy Family at 10:30 a.m. Route: Federico Martínez Varea Street, Francisco Sarmiento Street, Clunia Street, Avenida del Cid, Concordia Street, Alonso Martínez Square, Laín Calvo Street, La Paloma Street, Plaza del Rey San Fernando, Nuño Rasura Street, Santa Águeda Street, and Santa María Square.

At 12:00 noon, the Eucharist will be celebrated in the Holy Cathedral, presided over by His Excellency and Most Reverend Archbishop, Monsignor Mario Iceta Gavicagogeascoa, with the presence of the float of Christ Risen in the Central Nave.

ARRIVAL ROUTE – VIRGIN OF JOY:
The Virgin of Joy will celebrate the Eucharist at 11:00 a.m. in the Church of Saint Nicholas of Bari. Afterwards, the procession will proceed along Fernán González Street, Avellanos Street, Alonso Martínez Square, San Juan Street, La Moneda Street, Santo Domingo de Guzmán Square, Santander Street, Espolón Promenade, Santa María Arch, Nuño Rasura Street, Santa Águeda Street, and Santa María Square.

RETURN ROUTES:
The image of Christ Risen will return via Concordia Street, Avenida del Cid Campeador, Francisco Sarmiento Street, and Federico Martínez Varea Street.
The image of the Virgin of Joy will return along Avellanos Street and Fernán González Street.

Central act:

At 1:15 p.m., the Encounter between Christ Risen and the Virgin of Joy will take place in Santa María Square. Both images will then process together along Santa Águeda Street, Nuño Rasura Street, and Plaza del Rey San Fernando. There will be performances of traditional dances, choral singing, recitation of poems, an exchange of offerings between the two brotherhoods, and a greeting to those present by the Archbishop. The procession, with both images, will continue along La Paloma Street, Laín Calvo Street, and Alonso Martínez Square, where the final farewell ceremony will take place.
